Almeco replaces three old cooling towers with two new ones
A few weeks ago Almeco has delivered two new cooling towers to a company that produces raw materials and chemicals for, among others, the automotive sector. The chemical company was looking for new cooling towers to replace their old ones. Almeco has therefore delivered two new AIR-1818 cooling towers which will be used to cool the machines.
It's not the first time Almeco supplies new cooling towers to this company. Five years ago, in 2018, we already delivered one new cooling tower to replace two old ones. Another happy customer!
The new cooling towers can cool 60 m³/h from 30°C to 25°C at a wet bulb temperature of 21°C. On top of that, all cooling towers are made of glass-fibre reinforced polyester.
For the three cooling towers, a frequency control for the fan was programmed and supplied by our automation department in PCA. The frequency control ensures that the fan speed is adjusted according to the cold water temperature in the basin. In this way, a stable cold water temperature is obtained and energy is saved as the fan doesn't need to run continuously at full speed.
