Silencers with integrated filtration
One of our French customers within the metal industry wasn't just looking for a solution for the sound distribution of their fans, but also for the filtration in order to protect the fans. We immediately started working on those issues and we made calculations based on the noise spectra of different fans, taking into account technical constraints such as dimensions. Based on these calculations, we have designed silencers with integrated filtration.
For these silencers we distinguish two technical objectives:
- Acoustic objective: Sound pressure level at 1m from the inlet maximum 85 dB (A)
- Filtration objective: Achieve a coarse filtration (G4-quality) to protect the fans.
On top of that, we have been able to optimise the filter surfaces and thereby reduce the dimensions of the silencers, which allows costs to be reduced.
