Replacing housing of noise dampers for cooling towers
At a chemical company in Gouda in the Netherlands, the metal housings of round noise dampers of cooling towers were in need of replacement due to rust.
Noise dampers on cooling towers are sometimes necessary so that the sound produced by the axial absorbing fans of this cooling tower does not trouble to the surroundings. The existing noise dampers were made of coated metal.
In 2016 Almeco replaced 2 of the 8 damper housings with stainless steel housings.
In 2017 2 other housings were next.
The client has indicated that they will also be replacing the other housings to ensure the operational reliability of the cooling towers and to keep the sound under control.
