Closed circuit cooling towers

Closed cooling towers are suitable for applications where the water or liquid to be cooled may not come into contact with air (for example because of possible contamination of the liquid to be cooled).

Keeping the liquid circuit to be cooled closed can take place in different ways depending on the application.

cooling tower aircp

An open cooling tower to which a matching plate heat exchanger is connected. All the liquid to be cooled then remains in a closed circuit.

Closed counterflow cooling tower, CFSC, Almeco

Closed counterflow cooling tower with centrifugal fans driven with belt/pulleys outside the wet air flow. With this type of closed cooling tower use is made of a tubes to close the circuit to be cooled.
